Knowsys helps 7th grade students prepare for the SAT or ACT for talent searches conducted by regional Talent Searches housed at top universities around the country (like Duke University, Johns Hopkins University, Northwestern University, University of Denver, etc.).
The Knowsys Talent Search Prepration Program familiarizes students with the test format and expectations, teaches test-taking strategies, and reviews and teaches the tested content.
The Talent Search available in Texas is offered by Duke University*. Since 1980, Duke University's Talent Identification Program (TIP) has identified gifted youth and offered them a variety of summer and academic-year enrichment programs. Students qualify for the program by excelling on either the SAT or the ACT as seventh graders.

The Talent Searches invite 7th grade students who have scored in the 95th percentile or higher on a standardized grade-level achievement or aptitude test. So, Talent Search participants compete with other top students from around the country for recognition.
Preparing for the Talent Search is beneficial in three ways: 1) preparation can help high achievers be recognized, 2) preparation benefits students in their math and English classes at school, and 3) preparation gives students a jump start on preparation for the SAT or ACT, which are the tests that really count for college admissions!
Successful Talent Search students are recognized and honored for their acheivements. Additionally, they are invited to participate in advanced academic programs during the summer and year-round at top universities locally and across the United States.
