GRE Registration

The GRE is a computer adaptive test (CAT) and, as such, can be taken at any time. Remember, depending on where you live, hundreds, if not thousands, of others will be taking the GRE too. Be sure to check your application deadlines and schedule your GRE early. GRE appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Register early to get your preferred test date and to receive your test preparation material in time to prepare for the test.

It generally takes 2 weeks for your official score report to be recieved by an admissions department.

So, PLAN AHEAD!

IMPORTANT NOTE: You may take the GRE only once per calendar month and no more than five times within any 12-month period. This applies even if you canceled your scores on a test taken previously.

Give yourself plenty of time to take the test one calendar month, retake the test the next calendar month (if needed), and then have your scores sent to the admissions office in plenty of time to arrive early.
